31 things i love about you
Today is my sweet husband's birthday, and this kind of mushiness is NOT his jam, but I still think he deserves it anyways. So in honor of his 31st birthday, here are 31 things I love about Brandon!
- Your heart for the Gospel. It is pure, deep, rich, and real.
- Your passion in ministry. Your ability to see teenagers and accept them as they are while guiding them to be more like Christ is beautiful.
- Your uncompromised pursuit of truth in your life and in those around you. You trust God's Word to be the ultimate truth, and you will fight for it until your last breath.
- Your friendship. You quickly became my best friend when I met you, and you will always be the one I want to hang out with.
- Your goofiness. You never let any situation be too serious.
- Your love of sports. Sure, it's a bit excessive, but you always invite me along and never grow weary of my questions.
- You are grounded, so very grounded. It irritates me, convicts me, and is always there for me when I'm falling apart.
- Your ability to see the good in everything. It's as if you have blinders on to negativity.
- Your ability to enjoy every moment.
- Your enjoyment of wandering around a mall or store with no goal in mind with me.
- You grocery shop with me, and I love it...except all of the extra things that get added in the cart.
- Your luscious beard that you so well maintain.
- You are the best fur dad ever. Even though they are sometimes annoying.
- You are 100% authentic. No one is like you, and you aren't trying to copy anyone.
- You gracefully walk with me through my breakdowns. Life and ministry have both broken me a little here and there, and you are there even when you don't have anything to say.
- You don't stress, especially not the small things.
- You are the BEST photographer assistant ***as evidenced below***
- You appreciate having mentors in life because you know you don't have it all figured out.
- You love my family well. You joined in the crazy like you've always been there.
- Your love of planning vacations we may never be able to take. Our google search histories make us look VERY well traveled.
- You are always content. It is something I admire more than you know.
- You are faithful. My mind and heart never have to doubt it for a second.
- Your love of tshirts. I know you will always have the most recent Alabama Championship shirt and some pretty dope Christian tshirts.
- You are a good provider, but you know how to balance work and home life better than anyone I've ever known.
- Your love of loud music. Yes, I am a grandma and think it's too loud, but I can't help but grin when you turn the front seat into a one man bandstand while jamming out.
- Your willingness to let me talk things out and work through the thoughts running through my head.
- Your love of a good murder mystery documentary.
- You never let the opinions of others discourage you.
- You support me through my health issues like a CHAMP. You never once made me feel less than or nervous that you wouldn't be there.
- You are INCREDIBLY good looking. Still pretty stoked that I got such a HOTTIE for a husband.
- You are mine.
For every day God gives me with you, I will cherish it. You are the most precious gift God has granted me outside of His love and grace in making me His own. I am so excited to see what this year holds for you and for us.
I love you.
